Yellowstone

Good Old Faithful

Yellowstone was SO much fun! My sister, Polleen has a time share there and because her points were about to expire she decided to invited my whole family up to use it. Everyone came except for my brother Jesse and my sister Shannon. It was a beautiful new hotel with full kitchens. Because of the kitchens we decided to make all our meals in the hotel and just took turns cooking. The only problem was that we don't know how to make little meals and I gained so much weight:)
Thank you Polleen for such a great weekend!!!

Polleen's husband Bryan is CRAZY! On our way back from the Paint Pots, we ran into a little bit of a dilema....bison. There is only one wooden path with several signs posted telling you not to step off the path or you might be burned by the boiling Paint Pots. However, the bison decided they would walk up the path which left us no option but to get off and try to go around them. All I could picture was the signs of the bison spearing tourist who got too close as we had to walk less than 5 feet from them to escape. Bryan is crazy because he kept getting closer and closer to the bison almost egging them on. Polleen was freaking out!

Amy Jo and her sweet little Jason.

Polleen's little girl Lilly had a birthday while she was there. So this is her birthday cupcake.

On the way out, we stopped with Polleen in Island Park to feed the fish.

You can't tell by the picture, but the fish here are HUGE! There were also a bunch of ducks that would eat whatever bread the fish missed.

Needless to say, the kids LOVED it!

My grandma and grandpa Peterson have recently moved into a nursing home and we stopped to see them in Shelley on our way back home. My grandparents are two of the most wonderful people I have ever met. To say they've been good examples would be an understatement. My grandpa grew up in a home where his parents fought regularly and he knew he didn't like it so he decided he would never fight when he got married and they don't! Seriously, I don't know how they've done it over the years but it inspires me.

We also stopped by to visit my mom and sister, Shelby. My mom has a huge yard surrounded by trees and a little ditch runs through the back yard. Her house is like a cottage and there's horses in a shed in the back. It's seriously like something from a fairy tale.

Connor and Whitney loved playing in her leaves!

I loved the color of these old chairs in her back yard and had to take a picture.

Whitney has always loved swings, she dreams of having a tire swing in her yard one day.

This is my mom and my sister, Shelby. If I can brag on my sister, she plays Volleyball and her team went to State this year and from what I've heard Shelby is awesome!
